Wrapping Up 2021

Hi!

It’s been a while! I’ve been wanting to write a blog entry for months and I’ve been kinda busy so now that I have the time I’ll tell you about things that have happened to me this year that’s ending.

First of all the studio: now it’s been two years since I’ve been in SoWa and one since I got my own studio. This last year was great in the studio, I got way more visitors than 2020. This year I also started opening my studio for visits every Sunday morning and that has been very fun. I’m very happy that things are coming back to normal at the studios but we still have some work to do to bring more attention from potential clients, that’s why I decided to join the SoWa Artists Guild organization, now I’m part of the marketing team and I already started working on little projects, this for me is very exciting because I like working in a team.

This year was a successful year for my sales, I wanna thank all my clients, the new ones and the collectors that came back for more pieces, the ones that commissioned me paintings and illustrations and the ones that bought the ones I made alone. This year my pieces traveled a lot, one of my paintings went to Australia and another went to Hawaii!!!

Two commissioned paintings I made this year, to the left Chico’s T-Shirt that now lives very close, at Newbury Street, next is Symbols, that now lives in Australia! and finally High on Boba, the first painting I ever made, found its family this year, not it lives in Hawaii!

At the beginning of the year my studio was kinda empty because I didn’t have furniture but now I have drawers, cabinets, shelves and all! First it was impossible to find furniture because of the shortage of products in stores but around spring I was able to get all I needed. I also have plants and an amazing set of handmade lamps that my husband made for the studio. Thank you very much to all my clients, it was thanks to you I was able to get all I needed for my space.

A picture of my studio from September. The lamps can change color!

This year I also started selling new pins and stickers too! The first version of my first pin is now sold out (silver bear with color clouds), I have just a few pins left of the second version (golden bear with color clouds), and just a month ago I released the third and fourth versions (black and white bears) and I also have a totally new pin design too and stickers! Check out my store for pictures and more information.

Pins chronology. Each one is a limited edition of a hundred units.
First one is sold out and second one is almost gone!

And also I worked on digital drawings this year. I made digital NFT versions of some of my paintings that were sold on Async Art and I just made a new animated NFT that is now available at Foundation, pease check it out!. My experience with the NFT space this year was great, mainly because of the new friendships I’ve made, there’s a group of super cool Korean artists that have been so nice to me! now we have a little community of artists and we share feedback, experiences, tips, etc… it’s been a very uplifting and inspiring experience. I also made lots of digital illustrations to print as coloring pages for the kids visiting my studio!

And that’s it! Despite everything that’s going on I can say that I’ve had a good year, I’m healthy, I’m still working and I’m ready for 2022. Thank you so much for your support this year! I’ll work very hard to deliver new and better work for you.

Here I’m leaving you with a selection of nice pictures from this year.

Take care!
